Golf at Alert Level 3

The guidelines in terms by which golf can be played at Alert Level 3 are listed below.

As we head into two more weeks at Alert Level 3, please remember:

1. Play is only possible for those playing alone or playing with others from within their bubble.

2. At Alert Level 3, the government has stipulated that you can only expand your bubble a small amount to bring in close family, isolated people or caregivers.

3. All clubhouse facilities must remain closed (this includes balconies or any clubhouse outdoor areas where golfers can gather).

Throughout the last period of Alert Level 3, the NZ golf office received a number of complaints from golfers, members of the public, the media and the police around activities at some clubs.

Most complaints relate to the gathering of bubbles on the golf course or in clubhouse, please remember that the RPGC car is park of the RPGC grounds and cannot be used to mingle before or after your game of golf.

If we all play the game, we’ll be back to BAU golf much sooner.

We all need to continue doing our bit in the fight against COVID-19.
