Weather has finally turned and as was inevitable the back nine is likely to be closed more often than not. Dan is still trying to move us around onto the drier areas and he will continue to do his best. Fingers crossed the weather Gods might help us dry out a bit.

We had an unfortunate situation last weekend. Green staff advised the office early Saturday that Carts would not be available due to conditions. The message was passed on by the office and was respected by the majority. Some hours later, some Members chose to take carts out and play the front nine. Understandably those who had already started were not pleased. This should not have occurred as the Greens staff have final say on playing conditions.

Following are the options discussed and agreed upon by Greens Superintendent, Club Captain, golf committee and the cart path coordinator.

1/ Course Closed to Carts

Will mean just that NO carts anywhere on the course.

2/ Carts available on Paths Only

Will mean Carts can be operated ONLY on holes 1 – 8 and 18.

3/ Course Closed to Carts but paths Open to Carts and back Nine AS DIRECTED.

4/ Course Open to Carts.

Those numbers 1 - 4 will appear on the Cart Sign in the driveway but Members need to confirm with the office the situation of the day.

Just a note to 1/ Course Closed NO carts. Some areas of the paths have already turned dangerous due to flooding and Clay being forced to the surface. These areas are already causing damage to the Path and surrounding area. In situations like this the Green Staff will make the call and until they have been able to repair option 1/ will be in force.

The Greens staff are putting their extensive knowledge gained over many years into practice to get us out on the course as often as possible. If we do our part we will get the best out of the course.
