COVID-19 Level 2

Hi all,

We are now two days into Level 2, so hopefully you are feeling some form of normality coming back.

Again, appreciation to Dan and Team, the course is looking really fantastic! It is great to see the greens starting to come back nicely, and the course is seeing the result of your team’s hard work.

Club Rooms

We are working towards the Golf Club opening up on Saturday 23rd May. Again, we really would have liked to be open this weekend, but we would struggle to comply with COVID-19 and Government guidelines. This is to ensure the health and safety of all our members. Pay-wave eftpos has been activated. Members can now pay for carts and soft drinks at the office.

Being able to stay and have a drink with other members is not far away. No food will be available this weekend.

Bookings are essential and members must report to the office before teeing off, for track and trace requirements from government

Golf Course

A big thanks to you all for making the effort to repair pitch marks, please keep it up. Another focus while we are unable to provide the ‘Sand Buckets’. Can you please be conscious if you make a divot, please replace the divot where you can. Again this really helps to keep the course in good order and supports the grounds staff. Thanks to those members that carry their own sand buckets.

Under Level 2 some points to remember:

a) Social  Distancing: please maintain 2 meters between players in your group and other groups at all times.

· Ps b) Pins will be back on the greens. They should be left in the hole and should not be touched or removed by any player

·     c) Practice greens (top and bottom) are open but please retain social distancing as appropriate.

·       d) Sand Bunkers will remain as GUR

· All e) All drinking fountains and ball washers remain closed

· T   f)Trundler washing bay remains closed

·       g) Nets remain closed

h) Redwood Park Golf Members only to play

        Speed of Play

It has been great getting around the course quickly, which we appreciate is very easy to do with one or two players. We heard a four got around yesterday in 3 hours 15 minutes. As we move back to groups of four, please continue with the effort to keep up with the four in front of you. We will have marshals out on the course this Saturday.

We have had a couple of instances where there was confrontation under level 3, so please remember to be kind when speaking to each other regarding these matters

Please, if you are unsure on any of this, just ask the staff and send any feedback through the Secretary Manager.

Thanks and see you out on the course.
