Dear Members,

I am sure you will all be pleased to hear that from today, Tuesday 14th April 2020, urgent maintenance of golf courses is permitted under Alert Level 4 restrictions. This is great news for Dan and the team as they had to cease work in the middle of our renovation week on the 25th March 2020. The Grounds team will be operating within the requirements of the regulations issued.

We encourage you to read the attached guideline issued and set by MBIE, and draw your attention to the following points in particular.

“Gatherings of people that are not usually involved in day-to-day maintenance to assist with essential maintenance of grounds or facilities is NOT permitted (i.e. clubs must not organise volunteer working bees)

Enforcement
New Zealanders are relying on each other to keep everyone safe and stop the spread of COVID-19. If operators are too generous in their interpretation of what is essential or flout these rules, Government will take further action.”

Please note the Course is still in lock down, so there is still no playing or practicing of golf allowed, at any time, during the lock down. We trust members will comply with this requirement, and thank you in advance.

We hope to see you all again soon. Keep well.

Regards
